hiking checklists

There are different techniques required for climbing in ice covered terrain and it s much different than climbing in dry terrain. Hiking trips are an adventurous way to take a vacation or a little bit of time out to enjoy nature at its finest, up close.

Because camping gear is a little bit less specialized, you would expect it to be easier to pick out. Always dress appropriately in layers for winter camping. Hiking to the top of a mountain is incredibly rewarding.

There are a lot of rock climbers around, but not so many that you bump into them much unless you are actually climbing. Make sure you have appropriate boots for winter camping. Make sure to bring a sleeping bag that is made to withstand the deep freeze of winter.

The possibilities are endless, so get out there. Slow down the pace of your life and take time to enjoy the great outdoors.
